It’s October, and that means people are looking for something to watch that is fitting for this particular season. Here’s a list of 10 anime to watch for Halloween. They consist of a variety of genres, as not everyone likes to watch the same genres.
Soul Eater
Lord Death established the Death Weapon Meister Academy to train a “meister” and their partners who can transform into weapons. Their goal is to absorb the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, so the weapons can transform into “death scythes” used by Death himself. Maka and her partner, Soul, Black Star and his partner, Tsubaki, and Death the Kid and his two partners, Liz and Patty, are all students determined to succeed.
Soul Eater Not
Soul Eater Not is a Soul Eater spin-off series. It focuses on the students of the Normally Overcome Target class at the Death Weapon Meister Academy who require assistance in controlling their abilities. Tsugumi Harudori is one of the students who has the ability to transform into a halberd. She meets and befriends meisters Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn, but struggles to decide which one should be her partner.
Hellsing Ultimate
Hellsing is an organization that hunts and kills vampires. The organization’s most powerful weapon, however, is a vampire named Alucard. He, along with his vampire servant, Seras Victoria, hunt down and destroy his own kind, as well as anyone who stands against Hellsing.
Demon Slayer
Tanjirou Kamado’s family is attacked by demons while he is away selling charcoal in town. When he returns, his whole family is dead, except for his younger sister, who has been transformed into a demon. Tanjirou becomes a demon slayer to turn his sister into a human again and swears to avenge his family.
However, the demon who attacked his family is a powerful demon, and becoming a strong demon slayer is not easy. And collaborating with a demon, his sister, is against the demon slayer rules. Tanjirou must put in a lot of effort to become strong enough to defeat the demon that killed his family, all while protecting his sister from everyone, including herself, as the two of them fight together to keep her humanity.
Interview with Monster girls
Tetsuo Takahashi is a biology teacher at a high school who is fascinated by “Demi,” or half-human, half-monster beings. Takahashi, fortunately, has three Demi students: vampire Hikari Takanashi, dullahan Kyouko Machi, and snow woman Yuki Kusakabe, as well as his coworker, succubus Sakie Satou. He conducts interviews with the girls to learn more about them and their interactions with other humans.
Rosario + Vampire
Youkai Academy is a boarding school for supernatural creatures. These creatures attend school in human form and take regular classes. Tsukune Aono has trouble getting into schools due to his poor grades, so his parents enroll him in Youkai Academy as a last resort.
Tsukune, however, is actually a human. His parents and he are unaware of the school’s true nature until he meets Moka Akashiya, and discovers she is a vampire. He wants to get closer to her, but Youkai Academy has a rule that any human discovered on campus will be executed. Tsukune meets a variety of supernatural creatures, all of whom want to get closer to him, as he tries to get closer to Moka.
School Live
Yuki Takeya is a member of the School Living Club at Megurigaoka Private High School, along with her classmates Yuuri Wakasa, Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Miki Naoki, the supervising teacher Megumi Sakura, and Taroumaru, the club dog. Their goal is to make the most of their school life. They do, however, have one specific rule: they are not permitted to leave the school grounds. They must spend their entire lives at school. Why? Because of the zombie apocalypse.
Little Witch Academia
Luna Nova Magical Academy is a school for witches. Atsuko Kagari, nicknamed Akko, wants to be a witch after seeing her idol, the famous witch Shiny Chariot. However, Akko comes from a non-magical family, and her time at Luna Nova Magical Academy will be much more difficult than for those who come from magical families.
Nonetheless, Akko is determined to become a witch with the assistance of her two friends, Lotte Yansson and Sucy Manbavaran, as well as Chariot’s own magical wand, which Akko discovers and takes as her own.
Zombieland Saga
Sakura Minamoto, a high school student who aspires to be an idol, dies after getting hit by a truck. She awakens as a zombie, resurrected by Kotaro Tatsumi, along with six other girls from various eras. Together, they form an idol group in order to save Japan’s Saga Prefecture.
Higurashi: When they Cry
Keiichi Maebara recently moved to Hinamizawa, where he befriended Rena Ryuuguu, Mion Sonozaki, Satoko Houjou, and Rika Furude. However, as the village prepares for their annual festival, Keiichi becomes aware of a series of disappearances and murders that appear to be linked to the festival and the village’s patron god. As strange events begin to occur, even his closest friends appear to be concealing secrets.
