There are quite a bit of Lego sets for Star Wars. Some of them are for children, and others are for adults. Of course, they also vary in price (with the adult Lego usually costing more than the ones for kids). But I thought I’d make a list of the 10 best Star Wars Lego sets.
Bear in mind that this is my opinion, and there are going to be some other cool Star Wars Lego sets not on this list. I’m also going to ignore prices for this post, as it’s likely that the best sets will be the most expensive.
Imperial Star Destroyer™
The Imperial Star Destroyer Lego set is 1,555 pieces and for ages 10 and up. According to Lego’s website, it has a very detailed interior, like the bridge, command center, and break room. There’s also a lot of really cool accessories and 7 minifigures, including Darth Vader and Cal Kestis.
Yes, you can display it if you’re just building it as an adult. But I will mention that it also has a handle to carry it around and has spring-loaded shooters so kids would be able to play with it.
AT-AT™
It’s pretty obvious by the names of these sets what they are of. This one, of course, is an AT-AT. It’s for adults and has 6,785 pieces, so it’s an extensive Lego set. It also comes with 9 different figures, like Luke Skywalker and General Veers.
The AT-AT is 24.5 inches high and 27 inches long, so it’s big but can be displayed. It also has a number of different moveable features, like posable legs and cockpit, rotating cannons, and a drop-bomb hatch.
X-Wing Starfighter™
This is another adult set. It’s 1,953 pieces and comes with Luke and R2-D2 minfigures. The wings are adjustable to change them into flight or attack mode. You can open the cockpit too. It comes with a display stand, so after you’re finished building it, you can display it wherever you’d like.
The ship is over 21.5 inches, according to the Lego website, so it’s pretty big. The display stand also comes with a plaque that has the X-wings technical details and an area to place the Luke figure.
Millennium Falcon™
The Millennium Falcon Lego set is for ages 16 and up. It’s 7,541 pieces, and when put together, it is 8 inches high, 33 inches long, and 23 inches wide. Yes, it’s big and has a lot of pieces, but don’t worry, it comes with a booklet.
It’s detailed, has removable hull panels and cockpit, a lowering board ramp, blaster cannon, sensor dishes, and laser cannons. You’ll also get a BB-8 figure, 2 buildable Porgs, and a buildable Mynock.
R2-D2™
I’ve mentioned an R2-D2 Lego set before on one of my previous Lego posts. This is actually another R2-D2. It’s specifically made for adults and has 2,314 pieces. It measures 12.5 inches in height and 7.5 inches wide. It also comes with a mini R2-D2 figure and a plaque with some information on the droid.
There are several moveable parts, including a retractable mid-leg, a rotating head, rising periscope, extendable front hatches, and contact tools. It also has a secret compartment that holds Luke’s lightsaber. You’ll also get a Lucasfilm 50th anniversary Lego brick.
Darth Vader™ Helmet
The Darth Vader helmet is for ages 18 and up and has 834 pieces. As the name suggests, it’s just Darth Vader’s helmet. It’s 8 inches high, 5.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches deep. It also comes with a stand so you can keep it displayed.
Since it isn’t too big, it’ll be perfect for fans to add to their collection. There are a few other Star Wars Lego helmets, one of which I also added to this list. But another helmet I didn’t include that’s also available is a Scout Trooper helmet.
C-3PO™
This set allows you to build C-3PO. It’s for adults and has 1,138 pieces. When put together, C-3PO stands over 15 inches tall. You can also turn his head and move his arms. If you also buy the R2-D2, you can pose them together, with C-3PO reaching out to pet the other droid.
It’s made to be displayed and also comes with a plaque with information on the droid. You’ll also get a C-3PO minifigure. Both versions have one silver leg and look pretty detailed.
Droideka™
Another adult set that’s made for display, this Droideka Lego set has 582 pieces and comes with an informational plaque too. Once the droid is built, it stands 8 inches tall, so it won’t take up too much space. You’ll also get a Droideka minifigure you can build.
There are a number of moveable parts to this droid too. You’ll be able to move its arms and can even transform it into its ball shape. It looks detailed, and I know Star Wars fans are going to like it.
Captain Rex™ Helmet
Like I said earlier on this list, there are some other Lego Star Wars helmets, one of which is Captain Rex’s helmet. You can also get one for Captain Codie, but since Captain Rex is in the beloved Star Wars: The Clones Wars cartoons, I’m sure many of you will love this one.
Like the Darth Vader helmet, it’s a buildable helmet. It’s for ages 18 and up and comes with 854 pieces. It’s over 8 inches in height, 5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep, and it also comes with a way to display it.
Mos Eisley Cantina™
Yup, it’s the whole entire Mos Eisley Cantina. Also another adult set; it’s a total of 3,187 pieces, and you’ll get 21 mini figures, including members of the Cantina band, Han Solo and Chewy, Luke, and C-3PO. You’ll get a buildable landspeeder too.
It’s detailed, has the option to be closed like you are looking at the building from the outside, or you can also open it up and see the inside of the cantina, complete with seats and the bar. It’s over 7.5 inches high, 20.5 inches wide, and 23 inches deep when you open it.
