Weekly Recommendations is a post I write every Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment for you. These can include anime, comics, movies, books, video games, and other similar forms of media.

Yona of the Dawn

  • Manga
  • Action, Adventure, Romance, Comedy, Fantasy

Yona is a beautiful and spoiled princess, but when her father is murdered and her nation is taken over by someone she once trusted, she and her bodyguard, Son Hak, are forced to flee. She is determined to grow stronger and take back her kingdom, but she will need the help of four great dragon warriors to accomplish this.

Lycoris Recoil

  • Anime, 13 episodes
  • Action, Slice-of-life

Direct Attack (DA) is a counter-terrorism organization that trains orphaned girls to be assassins through its “Lycoris” program. Takina Inoue is a Lycoris, but a hostage situation forces her to disregard orders. DA transfers her to LycoReco, which is disguised as a cafe. Takina’s new partner, renowned Lycoris prodigy Chisato Nichikigi, takes Takina on odd jobs in the name of helping those in need. Even stranger, Chisato refuses to kill anyone, despite the fact that this is what they do. Takina wishes to return to DA, but Chisato wants her to understand that life is more than just killing.

Lego DC Super-Villains

  • Video Game: PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
  • Action-Adventure, Platform, Lego, Comedy

After the Justice League vanishes, the villains must band together to take on a new group of heroes who claim to be the Justice League from another universe. When the villains encounter these heroes, they realize that they are not heroes at all, but rather a group of villains. The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luther, and the rest of the DC villains team up in a Lego adventure to stop these new villains and prove to the world that they are not who they seem to be. This is the first Lego game to have a customizable character that you can build from scratch.
