Weekly Recommendations is a post I publish every Friday where I recommend three different types of entertainment. This can be anime, comics, video games, tabletop games, and other similar forms of media. They will also vary in intended audience, release date, genres, and more.
Jujutsu Kaisen
- Anime, 47 episodes
- Action, Fantasy, Shounen
Yuuji Itadori, a high school student, spends his time at the Occult Club and visits his grandfather in the hospital. After swallowing Sukuna Ryoumen’s finger, the “King of Curses,” he enrolls at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High. There, he begins his journey as a Jujutsu sorcerer, fighting curses, entities created of human hatred and negativity, and collecting the rest of Sukuna’s fingers.
I Stole the Number One Ranker’s Soul
- Manhwa
- Fantasy, Action, Comedy
The world in which Son Mo-Ah lives is plagued by dungeons containing frightening and deadly creatures. Fortunately, hunters have special powers that they can use to defeat these monsters and pick up their loot (similar to a video game). A dungeon appears in Son Mo-Ah’s bedroom one day, and she awakens as a hunter, but her main skill is gathering. When she finds herself in another dungeon, she narrowly escapes death thanks to the intervention of the number one hunter, Seo Ji-Han, but her interaction with him means she will no longer be able to live in peace and will have to face many other terrible creatures as well as people.
Planet Coaster
- Video Game: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
- Simulation, Management, Construction
Players can create and manage parks with any theme, or they can manage pre-made parks. You can also play challenges as you manage a park. There are several options for designing your own park. You can pick from different geographical locations, such as a city backdrop or a dessert. Ready-made themes with pre-made buildings and decorations include pirate, fantasy, western, and many others. You can create your own buildings in a variety of styles. The same can be said of decorations, attractions, and roller coasters.
