Weekly Recommendations is a post I publish every Friday where I recommend three different types of entertainment. This can be video games, anime, comics, TV shows, books, and other similar forms of entertainment. They might also vary in theme, genre, age, and intended audience.

Top Gun: Maverick

  • Movie
  • Action, Drama

In the sequel to Top Gun, which takes place thirty years after the original, Maverick works as a test pilot. Despite his accomplishments, his disobedience has prevented him from becoming captain, and Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, his former rival, is the only thing preventing him from being grounded. At Icemen’s request, Maverick returns to Top Gun to train the top pilots in a dangerous, seemingly impossible mission that is vital for defeating the enemy.

Beatrice

  • Webtoon
  • Romance, Fantasy

Beatrice, Elpasa’s last princess, watched the Nosteros Empire destroy her country before sacrificing herself to save the palace staff. Although she is spared, she must live as a slave in the empire. She adopts the name Chloe to disguise her past and start over. Upon recognizing Chloe’s intelligence and charisma, Duke Alessandro—the guy who destroyed Elpasa and tried to kill Beatrice—hires her as his personal servant. The two seem to be becoming closer, but Chloe has to hide who she is, or else she’ll be in danger.

The Seventh Plague: A Sigma Force Novel

  • Book
  • Adventure, Thriller, Suspense

Professor Harold McCabe, the leader of a British archaeological expedition, went missing two years ago while looking for evidence of the 10 plagues in Sudan’s desert. Two years later, he reappears but passes away before telling anyone what happened. However, autopsy results reveal that the professor’s body was mummified while still alive. When the medical staff who conducted the man’s autopsy becomes ill with an unidentified illness, people start to wonder if the plagues are returning. The Sigma Force and Commander Grayson Pierce search various locations for answers. But there is not much time left to stop an ancient threat that science has revived and that could wipe out humanity.
