Star Rating:
Love After World Domination is a romance comedy anime about recently dating Fudou Aikawa and Desumi Magahara. Fudou is “Red Getato,” the commander of the “Gelato 5,” a group of heroes dedicated to bringing down the evil organization known as “Gekko.” Gekko employs Desumi as the “Reaper Princess.” Because the two are supposed to be enemies, they must keep their relationship hidden.
This anime is a wonderful mix of romance, comedy, and even some action. While action isn’t the main focus, there are a few brief fights between Gelato 5 and Gekko. When they are in danger of being discovered, Fudou and Desumi must pretend to fight one another.
Their relationship begins quickly and happens at the beginning of the anime. Despite the fact that they are already together (unlike many other romance anime where the couple takes a long time to get together), their relationship is still young. They have no idea how to act around each other or what dating is like, so the progression is amusing to watch. They both make errors, but each one brings them closer together and strengthens their bond. The romance and relationship are well written.
Desumi is a lovable character. She may be a member of Gekko, but she is not evil. She’s just extremely strong, which adds to the comedy. She’s girly, sweet, and has a fantastic character design. I adore her Reaper Princess costume. It has a cute and cool vibe to it, which makes it very appealing. And to be honest, she has the best anime swimsuit I’ve ever seen. I adore it and wish I had one similar to hers.
But Desumi isn’t the only great character in the anime. There are plenty of other likable characters with excellent designs. They each have their own individual characteristics, and you can’t help but like them all, even the so-called bad guys. Love After World Domination also has well-written side characters.
Fudou is a good guy, likeable, and dedicated. He’s honest and adores Desumi. The two of them complement each other well, even in strength. Their feelings are genuine, and they care deeply about each other.
The writers strategically placed the humor at appropriate times. It’s a Romeo and Juliet-style plot in which enemies become lovers, but there’s no tragedy here. It’s a lighthearted and fun anime. There’s nothing too serious about it, and it puts you in a good mood.
Love After World Domination is an entertaining anime to watch. There’s a good balance of romance and humor. It’s entertaining and lighthearted, with well-developed and appealing characters. The story and each episode are wonderfully written. I definitely recommend this anime.
