My Dress-Up Darling is a romantic comedy anime about Wakana Gojo, a high school student who enjoys making hina dolls, who befriends his popular and beautiful classmate Marin Kitagawa after she discovers he can sew because she wants to cosplay but can’t make the costumes herself. Marin requests his assistance in creating the cosplay. Gojo agrees, and the two form an ever-growing friendship.
I am a fan of the manga series and was already excited for this anime when I first heard about it. I was very excited to see it, and I was not disappointed. This is such a fun and uplifting story, and the anime perfectly captures everything wonderful about it. It’s an accurate adaptation.
The characters are extremely endearing. Gojo is a very relatable character. Everyone understands what it’s like to have a hobby you adore but worry that others will make fun of it in some way. It’s difficult to get along with people who don’t understand your hobbies and interests. I’m sure anime fans can relate to that situation. In that regard, anime presents its own set of challenges as a hobby.
Marin is a real sweetheart. She’s a lot of fun, outgoing, and caring. She enjoys her own hobbies and believes that no one should make fun of others for doing what they enjoy. She’s also great with Gojo. She genuinely cares for him. She holds him in high regard. It’s easy to see why Marin Kitagawa got so much attention and became one of the Internet’s best girls. She truly is.
Marin and Gojo have a really honest and refreshing friendship. They have faith in each other. They look out for each other and they have a lot of respect for each other. It’s an exciting relationship to watch develop. Marin’s feelings for Gojo are particularly endearing. It’s adorable to hear her inner thoughts on the guy she loves.
The comedy is perfectly timed and hilarious. The other characters are also fantastic. The animation is superb. They paid close attention to the shadows and highlights, as well as the movement of the skin. The story is fun and cute. It’s also great to see an anime that values cosplay, a hobby that many fans share.
My Dress-Up Darling is a lighthearted and entertaining anime. The characters are endearing, and you’re left in a good mood. It’s adorable. I hope we get another season because there is still a lot in the manga that is just as amazing and good.
