My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is the first of three films in the My Hero Academia anime series. Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, joins All Might for a hero exhibition on I-Island, a movable floating island city. When villains attack the expo and capture all of the professional heroes, Deku, his classmates who were also invited to the exhibition, and All Might’s friend’s daughter are the only ones who can stop the villains and free the hostages.

This is a fantastic film that I thoroughly enjoyed. I think someone unfamiliar with the series could also watch the film because it does such a good job of quickly explaining the world and the quirks of the characters.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes has a distinct feel in comparison to other anime series films. It feels more like extra episodes of the anime than a separate film. The pacing is very similar to that of the series, which is a good thing. There is never a slow point. There are no unnecessary scenes. Everything flows smoothly.

The action scenes are also great. Each main character has a chance to shine; for example, Uraraka has a moment, Momo has a moment, Denki has a moment, and so on (something that My Hero Academia always seems to be good at). The final fight is fantastic. Deku and All Might finally fight together, and it’s emotional and beautiful.

Despite having a limited time to complete the story, the characters’ personalities are not sacrificed. Everyone is likeable, including Melissa, who we meet in this film. She is All Might’s friend’s daughter. The story is well-written, with an unexpected twist.

The animation is excellent. Though it may not appear to be much different from the series, My Hero Academia has always had good animation and well-thought-out scenes. The fight scenes are extremely enjoyable and entertaining to watch.

I was absolutely delighted after watching My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. It just left me with a happy, good feeling, much more than any other superhero movie, including some of the big ones from Marvel and DC. I have no criticism of this film. It was fantastic. It’s exactly what a superhero film should be. I highly recommend it, especially to My Hero Academia fans. I’m really looking forward to seeing the next movie.
