My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is the third film in the My Hero Academia anime series. After a terrorist cult releases a toxin that causes people’s quirks to go out of control and kill them, the heroes must travel the world to find the culprit and prevent the toxin from being released again.

Like the previous two films in the My Hero Academia series, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It’s well-written, and the pacing is appropriate. When it comes to how the My Hero Academia films feel in comparison to other anime films, there’s just something different about them. They always feel like more episodes of the show, but the pacing is always perfect. There is no such thing as being too slow or too fast. There’s also a good balance of comedy, drama, and combat.

Each character is given their moment in the spotlight. Even characters created specifically for the film are given enough time to develop despite its length. The regular cast is as likeable as they were in the series, and Rody Soul, one of the new characters created for this film, grows on you as you get to know him throughout the film.

Every time, I wonder how the next My Hero Academia film will top the previous one’s fight scenes, but they always do. The fight scenes improve as the students grow stronger and learn new skills. Deku, in particular, can perform much cooler moves now that he has more control over One for All, which is both impressive and entertaining to watch.

The animation was fantastic. The fight scenes were well executed. I also adore the design of the hero costumes worn by Deku, Todoroki, and Bakugo at the start of this film. I wish they had worn them for a longer period of time because I liked the way they looked.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission was emotional, sad at times, but overall, very uplifting. You finish the film with a smile on your face, just like the previous two films. As with the other My Hero Academia films, this one simply left you feeling happy. It has the spark associated with good superhero movies. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and have no complaints about it. I wholeheartedly recommend it to My Hero Academia, anime, and superhero fans (though you’ll have to watch the series first).
