It can be difficult to decide what to tell family members to get you for Christmas or to find a gift for the geek in your family, especially when it comes to stocking stuffers. Here’s a list of stocking stuffers for geeks to get you started. These will be more general, but the point is for you to personalize them with specific fandoms such as video games, anime, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and so on.
Socks
There are plenty of novelty socks available, ranging from below the ankle to above the knee. In the past, I’ve received Pokémon and Sailor Moon socks for Christmas.
Keychains
There are numerous keychains available for various fandoms. Also, keep in mind that keychains do not have to be used as keychains. They can be used to decorate bedrooms, dangle from backpacks, bags, and purses, and much more.
Blankets and towels
At some point in their lives, everyone uses a blanket or towel. There are a variety of fandoms that have blankets and towels.
Shirts
Yes, some shirts can be pricey and should only be given as a regular gift, but there are times when you can get a good deal on a shirt and use it as a stocking stuffer instead.
Leggings
Leggings are similar to shirts in this regard. I once received leggings as a stocking stuffer. It all depends on the prices you find. When looking for extra stocking stuffers, sales come in handy.
Hats
I’ve seen a lot of hats for various fandoms. Don’t forget that there are also hats for cold weather.
Coasters
To be honest, I had never considered this until I came across anime coasters on Amazon. This could be the perfect stocking stuffer if the person you’re buying for (or for yourself) owns their own apartment or house. Sometimes the best stocking stuffer for a geek is something useful that also has a connection to one of their favorite fandoms.
Wall decorations
Posters, wall scrolls, wall stickers, clocks, and other decorative items. There are numerous wall decorations that, depending on their size and price, can serve as gifts or stocking stuffers.
Stickers
Yes, there are novelty stickers. Feel free to place them wherever you want to show off your favorite things, whether to the public or just to yourself. You can change their placement by using tape instead of the sticky adhesive that is already on them.
Bags
Purses, backpacks, string bags, and tote bags are all options. It makes an excellent, useful stocking stuffer.
Pins
Pins are similar to stickers. You can put them anywhere you want. You don’t always have to pin them if you’re creative enough. Instead of using the pin itself, I have two pins sewn onto the chain of my purse.
Jewelry
Examples include necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. If the recipient enjoys wearing jewelry, this could be the ideal stocking stuffer. There is even jewelry that is an exact replica of jewelry worn by characters.
Wallet
Change purses and wallets make great stocking stuffers. My brother received a Legend of Zelda wallet a few years ago for Christmas. He still uses it. And I have a wallet for My Hero Academia.
Water bottles
More common fandoms (like movie franchises) have water bottles sold even at stores like Walmart. Hot Topic tends to have more choices for even anime.
Puzzles
If you want to give someone a gift that is more of an activity, a puzzle can be a good choice, especially if you know that person is particularly fond of puzzles. I’ve seen puzzles based on Star Wars, DC Comics, Marvel, Alice in Wonderland, and anime.
Mugs or cups
Mugs and cups make excellent stocking stuffers for geeks. They can be used for any beverage, but they might make good stocking stuffers for coffee drinkers who want to enjoy their favorite fandom while sipping their favorite coffee. They can also be used as decorations.
Pop figures
There are an infinite number of Pop Funko figures available nowadays, so chances are you’ll find one related to a fandom that you or the person you’re buying for enjoys. Major fans don’t mind getting different versions of characters they already own.
Watches
Yes, you can buy watches that display a fandom. There are some that are more suitable for children due to their appearance, but there are also more subtle or mature-looking watches. A quick search on Amazon for “anime watches” proves this. You could also purchase a watch strap rather than the entire watch.
Action Figures
Obviously, you could get an action figure of Spiderman, Batman, Superman, and so on. However, action figures of anime characters are available, and adults enjoy using them as decorations as well. You know what I mean if you’re a geek.
Plushies
For those who are unfamiliar with plushies, they are like stuffed animals that are based on specific characters from a franchise or other fandom. I have some from various anime as well as Appa from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Check out these stores where you can buy anime merchandise from to help as well.
