However, Laritte is eager to start a new life away from her horrible family. Then Ian returns, claiming he has been framed. Though she is initially distrustful of him, she agrees to help clear his name.

Hotaru Tachibana is the student council president and a girl who is frequently mistaken for a man. When a host defrauds a friend, Hotaru confronts the host, who also happens to be her next-door neighbor, Masamune Matsuoka. To solve the problem, he suggests a “survival game,” which is essentially a war game with fake guns. She eventually loses and has to join Masamune’s team, “Toy Gun Gun.” Over time, she develops a genuine love for the game and shares the team’s ambition to become the best team in Japan. However, Masasume’s team is only allowed to consist of men. Can she help teammates win championships while concealing her identity? Will she be removed from the team if her true gender is revealed?

Mitsuha Miyamizu is a country high school student with aspirations of visiting Tokyo. One day, she wakes up in the body of Taki Tachibana, a high school student from that city. Taki wakes up in Mitsuha’s body. Despite their initial notion that it was all a dream, the two continue to switch bodies. They work together to teach each other about their lives to hide their secret, but they have no idea why or how to stop it. Their body switching helps them to bond, but when they do decide to meet, it becomes clear that their body swapping has significant implications.
