Weekly Recommendations is a post I write every Friday in which I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can be comics, anime, video games, movies, books, and more. They can also vary in intended audience and release year, meaning they can be new or old media.

The world is divided into four nations: the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Benders can use one of these four elements. The avatar can use all four. Katara and Sokka, two Water Tribe siblings, one of whom can bend water, find Aang trapped in ice. When they break through the ice and thaw him out, they discover that Aang is the last remaining airbender, having been wiped out by the Fire Nation’s lord a century before. He is also the avatar, and it is now up to Aang to learn how to bend the other three elements and fight the Fire Lord, who has started a world war in the avatar’s absence to expand his kingdom.
