Weekly recommendations include any platform, media, genre, type, age, etc.. I’ll be recommending work from any year, old and new. Why? Because you just need something to get into every now and then.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

When Link wakes up, he discovers that Princess Zelda has sealed Ganon in Hyrule’s castle with her. Link must rid the Divine Beasts of Ganon’s monsters so that he can use them to help defeat Ganon. As Link, you explore the lands of Hyrule, defeating monsters and completing side quests and puzzles. It’s an open-world game in which you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. It also has a lot of rpg elements, such as gathering ingredients to make food that boosts your stats, buying different outfits that give you different abilities, and being able to travel anywhere on the map.

Teen Titans (2003)

This series is based on DC Comics’ Teen Titans. It stars Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Cyborg, who are members of the Teen Titans. They live together in a T-shaped tower. The series features both serious and comedic episodes, which are usually distinguished by the opening song. A Japanese version of the song is used for the comedic episodes, while an English version is used for the more serious episodes. Episodes consist of the Teen Titans fighting supervillains, but they also bring up the characters’ pasts, families, and lives as super-powered teenagers.

Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game

Legendary is a Marvel comics board game in which players team up to defeat the game. Players select a villain and a scheme to battle against, as well as five heroes to use throughout the game. They must then build their decks during the game, picking superhero cards that will work well for their strategies. You will use those cards to defeat side villains and the main villain. Villains can also affect game play by kidnapping bystanders or inflicting wounds on you. Players earn points for defeating villains, which they can then add up at the end of the game. Whoever has the most points wins. However, the villains can win too.

Girls Und Panzer

  • Anime, 12 episodes
  • Action, Slice-of-life, Comedy, Sports, Military

“Senshadou” is a popular sport in which girls compete in elimination-based battles with World War II era tanks. Miho Nishizumi is a high school girl who comes from a family of renowned senshadou experts, but after a tragic event, she wants nothing to do with the sport. She transfers to Ooarai Girls High School because their senshadou program has been discontinued. However, with championships approaching, the school decides to revive their tankery team, and they want Miho. Miho is pushed into joining, and now she must overcome her trauma and lead a tank squadron to victory in the championships. Learn more on the anime’s myanimelist page.
