Weekly Recommendations is a post I write every Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can be anime, comics, video games, movies, TV shows, and other similar forms of media. They might also vary in intended audience, age, genre, and themes.

Fantasy Life

  • Video Game: Nintendo 3DS
  • Role-playing, Life simulation

Reveria is a peaceful fantasy world until a strange purple meteorite crashes into your home. These meteorites, known as Doomstones, give beings evil, destructive energy. The king wants you to investigate. You create a character and select a “life class,” which can be changed later. Then you progress through the story and other side quests related to your life class, such as fighting monsters, logging or mining, fishing, or crafting.

Tricked into Becoming the Heroine’s Stepmother

  • Webtoon
  • Fantasy, Comedy, Romance

Daisy Heidi is reincarnated as a commoner in a novel where the main character has relations with ten men, resulting in a tragic end. But Daisy is also one of the authors of this book. When she is suspected of stealing, she approaches the main character’s father and informs him that she is the author and can help prevent his young daughter from becoming the woman she is in the novel. He hires her as a nanny for his daughter. The two then work together to prevent the young Pierta from ever meeting any of the men from the original story.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia

  • Anime, 12 episodes
  • Horror, Mystery, Romance, Supernatural

Yuuko is the president of the Seikyou Private Academy’s Paranormal Investigations club and a ghost who has no memories of her life or death. She uses the club to investigate her identity and other mysterious events together with Teiichi Niiya, one of the only individuals who can see her, Kirie Kanoe, and Momoe Okonogi.
