Weekly Recommendations is a post I make every Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can include anime, comics, video games, books, movies, and other similar forms of media. They can also vary in intended audience, release year, genre, and themes.

Beware of the Villainess!

  • Manhwa
  • Action, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Isekai, Romance

A modern-day college student awakes as the villainess of a novel, Melissa Foddebrat. She is the daughter of a rich and powerful duke. She initially intends to simply enjoy her new, lavish way of life. However, after learning that the three male leads, including her unfaithful royal prince fiancée, are terrible, she resolves to change the story and save the female lead from them.

Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise

  • Graphic Novel
  • Action, Adventure, Comedy

The Promise happens immediately following the conclusion of the cartoon series. It centers on what happens after Aang defeats the fire lord, as well as how he and his friends deal with the political tensions that exist between nations and people. Meanwhile, Zuko seeks more information about his mother from his imprisoned father, while Toph starts a new metalbending school.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires

  • Video Game: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Fighting, Strategy, Hack and Slash

Players assume the role of generals charged with conquering and unifying ancient China. Characters can be created and personalized, including special attacks, before being used in battle. You can either complete the campaign or take part in shorter fights unconnected to the game’s main story. This game can be played by one or two players.
