Weekly Recommendations is a post I write every Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These may include video games, comics, anime, movies, books, and other similar forms of media. They might also vary in genre, theme, intended audience, and age of media.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

  • Video Game: Switch, Playstation, PC
  • Adventure, Simulation, Role-playing, Farming

You come to Olive Town to fix up your grandfather’s run-down farm. You can fish, sell products, mine, cut down trees, raise livestock, grow crops, interact with townspeople, get married, and a lot more. You’ll help the mayor with tasks like town improvement and collecting items for the residents. Check out my review for some more details.

Alice in the Country of Hearts

  • Manga
  • Fantasy, Romance, Psychological, Reverse Harem

A unique take on the Alice in Wonderland story. A man with bunny ears kidnaps Alice and takes her to a different world, where she is unable to leave. The Queen of Hearts, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Boris the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter, who is also a mafia boss, are among the people she meets there. However, this wonderland is darker and more twisted than the traditional tale since many of its residents kill without hesitation, and all of them have clocks for hearts, which diminishes the value of life. Note: There are various spin-offs from this series.

Long After the Ending

  • Webtoon, 60 episodes
  • Romance, Isekai

After waking up in the body of the villain from a romance novel she read in a past life, Elena Taylor decides to break off her engagement to the crown prince, the main character, and start a romance counseling business. Even though her business is doing well, she has been given a new job: helping Hugh Godwin, the story’s second male lead, get married, or else his mother will force her to leave the building where she lives and works. But after his knightly duties, Hugh has returned a large, muscular man who does not fit this society’s ideal of beauty and who has lost interest in love due to past failures.
