Weekly recommendations is a post I write once a week where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can be anime, comics, video games, movies, board games, or any other similar form of entertainment. They might also vary in age, intended audience, genre, and theme.
Miss Not-So Sidekick
- Manhwa, 178 episodes
- Comedy, Fantasy, Isekai, Romance
Hyejung wakes up inside her favorite novel. She isn’t the female lead who seduces three attractive men, but Latte Ectrie, a minor villain who everyone hates. Hyejung chooses to fully embrace her new life. Ten years later, she’s a successful author under a fake name, and all she wants to do is eat popcorn and watch the drama between her favorite characters. However, her strange behavior has made her a larger part of the plot than she thinks.
The Unbelievable Gwenpool
- Marvel Comic Book
- Adventure, Action, Comedy
Before entering the comic book world, Gwen Poole was a normal comic book reader. She believes that the world is fake and decides to become a hero. After assuming she was aiming for a Deadpool look based on her name, the costume designer created Gwenpool. To earn money, she becomes a mercenary, causing problems for other heroes and bystanders by treating everyone as disposable because they are just characters in a comic book. However, when things become too real for her, she realizes that these are actual people, not just fictional characters from comic books.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?
- Anime, 12 episodes
- Comedy, Slice-of-life, Sports
High school student Hibiki Sakura joins the recently opened Silverman Gym after discovering that her eating habits are causing her to gain weight. Even though she was initially intimidated by the abundance of bodybuilders and athletes at the gym, Hibiki continues to go and makes new friends, learns new skills, and experiences new things there.
