Weekly recommendations can be for any system, of any media type, for any age range. I’ll suggest work from any year, old or new. Why? Because you need something to get into now and then.

Fruits Basket (2019)

Tohru Honda, a young high school student, moves in with her grandfather after her mother dies in a car accident. However, she leaves when her grandfather begins renovations on the house. Tohru, not wanting to bother her friends, decides to live in a tent in the woods. Tohru finds Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure’s house nearby and after a landslide destroys her tent, she moves into Shigure’s home. Kyo Sohma joins them to live there, and after their first encounter, Tohru learns of the Sohma curse, in which they turn into members of the Chinese Zodiac if they are physically touched by the opposite sex or are in an intense mental state.

Victor “Sully” Sullivan, a treasure hunter who collaborated with Nathan Drake’s brother Sam, approaches Nathan and asks for assistance in locating the missing Magellan treasure after Sam disappears. Nathan, initially hesitant, agrees to join Sully on a treasure hunt to find the gold. 

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

High school student Buffy Summers is a vampire slayer and comes from a long line of girls who are destined to battle evil. Buffy protects Sunnydale from supernatural beings with the help of her Watcher, Rupert Giles, and a group of friends.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

  • Adventure, Fantasy

Alice, a young girl, follows a white rabbit and falls down a rabbit hole, landing in a strange world populated by talking animals and strange people.
