Every Friday, I recommend four different types of entertainment for my weekly recommendations. This includes video games, anime, comic books, television shows, films, and other forms of entertainment. They can also differ in terms of target audience and year of release.

Soul Eater

  • Anime, 51 episodes
  • Comedy, Action, Fantasy

Lord Death established the Death Weapon Meister Academy to train “meisters” and their weapon-transforming partners. Their goal is to absorb the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, transforming the weapons into “death scythes” used by Death himself. Maka and Soul, Black Star and Tsubaki, and Death the Kid and his two partners, Liz and Patty, are all students determined to succeed.

Romance 101

  • Webtoon
  • Romance, Comedy

Bareum is a well-organized and busy college student with little spare time. However, she feels that the only thing missing from her schedule is a boyfriend. Bareum hopes to finally find a boyfriend after being persuaded to join a programming club by her friend’s hot coworker. But she knows nothing about programming and keeps bumping into his bad-tempered friend instead.

Honkai Impact 3rd

  • Video Game: PC, Mobile
  • 3D, Action, Role-playing

You gain characters through a gacha system, level them up, give them different weapons and outfits, and then choose up to three characters to play in hack-and-slash combat against a variety of enemies. There are also events that change the game play to keep it interesting and unique.

Jumanji

  • Movie
  • Adventure, Fantasy

Alan Parrish, a young boy in 1969, became trapped inside the board game Jumanji while playing with his friend Sarah Whittle. Judy and Peter Shepherd discover the game and begin playing it 26 years later. However, anything on the game cards comes to life and actually happens. After unintentionally releasing the now-adult Alan and learning more about the game, they must track down Sarah in order to complete the game and undo all of the damage it has caused.
