This week’s weekly recommendations are listed below. Weekly recommendations include three different kinds of entertainment. This includes video games, cartoons, movies, anime, comic books, and other forms of similar media. They can also differ in terms of intended audience and release date.
The Unbelievable Gwenpool
- Marvel Comic Book
- Adventure, Action, Comedy
Gwen Poole was a comic book reader like us until she was transported into the comic book world. She considers the world to be fake and decides she wants to be a hero like the ones she reads about. After being inspired by her name and assuming that Gwen was striving for a Deadpool theme, the costume designer came up with Gwenpool. To gain money, she becomes more of a mercenary than a hero, causing issues for other heroes and bystanders as she treats everyone as disposable because they are simply characters in a comic book. But when things start to become all too real for her, she acknowledges that these aren’t simply comic book characters, but actual people.
Villain with a Crush
- Webtoon
- Romance, Comedy
Rosa Park accidentally falls from the top of a collapsing building after being rejected by her first crush, but is saved by Doryeong Han, everyone’s favorite superpowered police officer. She develops a crush on Doryeong and longs to express her love for him. But when Rosa gains her own powers, she somehow emerges as the nation’s most dangerous villain, out to destroy Doryeong Han.
