Weekly Recommendations is a post I publish every Friday in which I recommend three different types of entertainment. For example, I might recommend an anime, webtoon, comic book, movie, video game, or other similar media.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War

  • Anime, 37 episodes
  • Comedy, Romance

Miyuki Shirogane is Shuchiin Academy’s top student and student body president. Kaguya Shinomiya is vice president and comes from an affluent family. Both are well esteemed by their peers and are regarded as the ideal couple. Despite their affections for one another, they are not in a relationship because whoever confesses first will be deemed the inferior partner. Neither of them wants to be the first to admit their feelings. As a result, their struggle to persuade one another to confess begins.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

  • Video Game: Nintendo Switch, Wii U
  • Action, Adventure, Role-playing

When Link awakens, he discovers that Princess Zelda has trapped Ganon in Hyrule’s palace with her. Link has to purge the Divine Beasts of Ganon’s monsters to use them to help fight Ganon. You travel Hyrule as Link, killing monsters and completing side quests and puzzles. It’s an open-world game that allows you to do whatever you want, whenever you want. It also contains several RPG aspects, such as gathering materials to make food that boosts your stats, purchasing various outfits that grant you different skills, and being able to travel anywhere on the map.

Spider-Man/Deadpool Vol. 1: Isn’t It Bromantic

  • Marvel Comic
  • Action, Comedy

Spider-Man and Deadpool team up for fun adventures full of funny shenanigans. Deadpool may be too much for Spider-Man sometimes, but they are making their friendship work. That friendship, however, may be put to the test when Deadpool’s new target is a man named Peter Parker. In addition, they must deal with strange mysteries at Parker Industries, double dates, and a Deadpool: The Movie set in Hollywood.
