Alex flees, urging Samantha not to follow, but she refuses, especially after learning that Alex’s adoptive parents are dead. The two are racing against time to keep ahead of Alex’s pursuers and figure out why they are chasing him. The cause, however, appears to be tied to his background and his birth parents, of which he is oblivious and whom his adopted parents died trying to protect.
